Fashion designer Yeung Yau’s tributes to Hong Kong women Fashion has been a "long trip" for 30-year-old Kai Yeung Yau, he says. Hong Kong-raised, London-taught, and now Shenzhen-based, the originator's way over the world is clear in his form image Archiché, which mixes prompts from close and far into energizing, prepared to-wear pieces.

Archiché, a mix of the words "chronicle" and "banality," speaks to Yau's conviction that prosaisms aren't an awful thing, he lets us know. (Read our full meeting beneath.)

We're particularly propelled by his one of his initial accumulations, "A Woman Who Carried Three Generations". The plans are tributes to the ladies who toiled to construct Hong Kong — in homes and in manufacturing plants — amid the 1970s. Consolidating Hong Kong's incredible plastic Red-A kitchenware, the accumulation channels the establishing soul of the city.

Amazingly, his work is evaluated accessibly (think COS costs) and went for all ladies. The outlines are anything but difficult to wear and season-less, guaranteeing that the pieces won't be immediately disposed of.
